“Strongest is a tree that need not a stick to support it’s trunk, strongest is a community when they can come together to hold themselves as a solidified unity.” – Aiko. (Our intern and 2nd District resident)
Today there was a safety walk in the Belair-Edison community that began at the corner of Sheldon and Belair Rd. There were elected officials and multiple City agencies present: the Mayor, the Police Commissioner and NE BPD, Myself and the 2nd District Team, DPW, MOHS, DOT, just to list a few. Yet, the loudest message was sent by the members of the Belair-Edison community who showed up; members who engage their own in community cleanups and meetings, all in hopes of becoming the trunk that supports the leaves. Please continue to be a part of our community’s effort tonight, the more support, the stronger we are.
